The Cult’s John Tempesta Joins The Dead Daisies

in Live,News

John Tempesta, drummer for The Cult, is the latest addition to The Dead Daisies line-up.

Tempesta will join The Dead Daisies for their round of pub and A Day On The Green shows across Australia in February.

John Tempesta joined The Cult in 2006 and recently toured Australia with the band. He replaces Charley Drayton who toured with the Daisies on their recent UK tour with Black Star Riders.

The upcoming tour will also mark the return of Marco Mendoza on bass. Mendoza, also a member of Black Star Riders and formerly of Thin Lizzy, was performing with Black Star Riders instead of Dead Daisies on the UK tour. He returns to Dead Daisies replacing his fill-in Darryl Jones who has returned to The Rolling Stones for their upcoming Australian shows.

The 2014 Dead Daisies line-up also features Jon Stevens (Noiseworks), David Lowy (Red Phoenix), Richard Fortus (Guns N Roses) and Dizzy Reed (Guns N Roses).
