A plane once owned by Elvis Presley and his father, Vernon Presley has been sold at auction for $430,000 by GWS Auctions in Beverly Hills, CA.
The 1962 Lockheed Jetstar Jet had been at an airport in Roswell, NM where it had become a tourist attraction. The interior was personally designed by Elvis and included gold-tone hardware, woodwork, inlay, red velvet seats and red carpet. According to the auction house, this is also the only Presley plane that is still privately owned with the other two aircraft at The Elvis Presley Museum.
