Eric Clapton’s capture of a 2007 San Diego concert with JJ Cale has been released as a 2 disc set.
On 15 March 2007, Eric Clapton performed at the iPayOne Center in San Diego and was joined by JJ Cale for five songs. The show came the year after Clapton and Cale released the joint album ‘The Road To Escondido’. Cale said at the time, “This is the realization of what may have been my last ambition, to work with the man whose music has inspired me for as long as I can remember.”
The shows included guitarists from Derek Trucks (now of the Tedeschi Trucks band) and Doyle Bramhall II.
