Hawaiian Elvis fans are in for a treat with a special 40th anniversary screening of Elvis Presley Aloha From Hawaii. The show will be January 14 at Neal Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu. Tickets are on sale now.
Aloha from Hawaii was beamed live via satellite and seen in over 40 countries by close to 1.5 billion people. It is regarded as the most watched broadcast by an individual entertainer in television history.
The January showing has been edited to recreate the excitement of the original live show and includes special footage shot for the event. It will be projected on multiple screens in the arena with Dolby 5.1 surround sound.
The show is also being celebrated with concerts, dance events and panel discussions featuring musicians and actors who performed with Elvis, special receptions and tours of many of the Hawaiian locations important to Elvis throughout his life. From Diamond Head and Hanauma Bay, featured prominently as the backdrops of Blue Hawaii and Paradise, Hawaiian Styleto an excursion along the island’s windward side, guests will explore Elvis’ Hawaii while celebrating his life and legacy.
