Jeff Duff will perform his acclaimed ‘Ziggy – The Songs of David Bowie’ at Hope Estate Winery with the Australian Symphony Orchestra.
Duff has been performed ‘Ziggy – The Songs of David Bowie’ for a number of years with Steve Balbi and Brydon Stace. This time the show will also include The Australian Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor George Ellis. “The Thin White Duke’s music lends itself beautifully to the array of colours of the orchestra. Rich textures and harmonies weave in and out of his songs making them perfect to decorate and embellish with lush symphonic sounds,” George said in a statement.
Hope Estate Winery has treated music fans to shows by the Stones, Fleetwood Mac and Eagles. “‘We’ve proven over the last 7 seasons that people will travel to Hope Estate for the whole experience of top notch music in an idyllic setting,” Hope Estate’s Michael Hope says. “We are now expanding our offering into other forms of entertainment that will appeal to our patrons. Having had Sting and Sydney Symphony Orchestra on our grounds 3 years ago, we see it’s a natural progression to present David Bowie’s music with the Australian Symphony Orchestra – it’s the perfect fit for Hope Estate and Hunter Valley Wine Country. The combination of rock and symphony is a match made in heaven – in the vines and under the stars.”
‘Ziggy – The Songs of David Bowie’ features Bowie’s greatest hits including Changes, Let’s Dance, Space Oddity, Life on Mars, Heroes, Starman, Suffragette City, Golden Year’s and many more.
