Brady’s honor was proclaimed by Melbourne Town Crier on the steps of Melbourne Town Hall this morning (3 July 2017).

Mike Brady first rose to fame in the 1960s with his band MPD Ltd and the hit song ‘Little Boy Sad’.

A decade later Mike would write a song that has gone right to the heart of the nation’s culture ‘Up Their Cazaly’.

Mike moved into advertising. He wrote the ‘lucky you’re with AAMI’ jingle. He has also been a tireless charity working raising money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation Australia, he is a board member for Variety and a patron of the Bali Children’s Foundation.

Mike Brady was awarded the Order of Australia (AM) by Queen Elizabeth II in 2013.
