It has been eight years since former Australian Idol contestant Paulini released a studio album and her latest offering “Come Alive” released on Robert Rigby’s Ambition label debuts this week at 25 on the ARIA chart.
“Paulini has one of the best female voices in Australia and is a very talented songwriter having penned two recent winner’s singles for The Voice in France and the Philippines. ‘Come Alive’ is an album that will surprise people with it’s rich pop production, infectious hooks and meaningful lyrics and is sure to impress who fan base and win one’s,” said Robert Rigby.
Paulini travelled for two years in the U.S. and Europe writing and recording songs with the likes of Erik ‘Blu2th’ Griggs (who produced chart topping hits for Jordin Sparks and the Dreamgirls Soundtrack), Chris Rosa (producer for Macy Gray and Jamie Foxx) and Philippe-Marc Anquetil (Little Mix, Timomatic).
The single “By My Side” was co-written and produced with Adam Reilly on her return to Australia and was the last addition to the record. Reilly has written hits for Jessica Mauboy, Guy Sebastian, Damien Leath, Shannon Noll and many others. This album exposes a more intimate side to Paulini : a wiser, stronger woman, comfortable in her own skin and emerging as a true singer/songwriter from start to finish since signing a publishing deal with Alberts.
It’s no wonder Paulini describes this album as a labour of love and her most personal album to date. Every song solidifies her as a genuine songwriter and artist through heart-felt soul and breathtaking production. Paulini says the album “represents my personal struggle over the past few years to find my voice, not only in music but in life”.
Paulini ‘Come Alive’ is available now via Ambition.
