R.I.P. Melbourne Singer Songwriter Suzie Dickinson

Australian singer and songwriter Suzie Dickinson has lost her battle with brain cancer.

Suzie was the lead singer and guitarist for folk band Banshee. She was also at one time a member of Goanna.

At statement on her Facebook pages reads:

Dear friends of Suzie,

We are so sad and shocked to tell you that Suzie lost her short battle with brain cancer tonight.
Her passing was peaceful and painless. We have all lost a gentle insightful musician, friend and mentor.

Funeral details will be posted soon.

Love to all of you from her family.

Suzie’s early band Banshee were regulars on Shirley Strachan’s children’s television show Shirl’s Neighbourhood.

Her time with Goanna was when the band recorded ‘Let The Franklin Flow’. She was also with Goanna for the Stop the Drop concert with Midnight Oil and Redgum.
