Peter Gabriel opened his Back to Front Tour on Sunday night at the Colisée Pepsi in Quebec City, Canada with a full performance of his classic album So along with a number of other tunes from his catalogue.
It is an unusual tour for Gabriel who almost always is out on the road promoting his latest work of new material. In this case, he is highlighting 25 years ago which is when his most popular album, So, was released (and is, in effect, promoting the special edition of the album).
The show was broken into three sections, the first being just Gabriel and bassist Tony Levin on stage with all the arena lights still on, performing Come Talk to Me, a stripped down Shock the Monkey and Family Snapshot. The full band then came on for part two, starting off with Digging in the Dirt and part three was, of course, the full performance of So.
