When Quincy Jones decided to remake his classic ‘You Don’t Own Me’, first recorded by Lesley Gore, he chose young Australia singer Grace Sewell to help modernise the standard 50 years on.
The Sewell name is big in pop right now. Grace is the sister of Conrad Sewell and the siblings have recently created a chart record to be the only brother and sisters to chart in the Australian top 10 at the same time with separate songs.
Grace Sewell recently had the no 1 song on the ARIA chart with ‘You Don’t Own Me’. She tells her story to Paul Cashmere at Noise11.com
