Just prior to his death on Christmas Eve, rapper Capital Steez filmed a freestyle for the Ethik Clothing Company in New York.
Capital Steez The Pro Era
19-year old Jamal Dewar, aka Capital Steez, took his life on Christmas Eve. He was considered one of Brooklyn’s up-and-coming rappers.
Steez was part of The Pro Era, led by Joey Badass.
Just last month Steez and the Pro Era filled SOB’s on the Lower East Side of Manhattan for the Hot97 Who’s Next Live series. He was considered to be the rapper to watch for 2013. It was to be his year.
But on Christmas Eve something was wrong. Steez placed a Twitter post with two words ‘The End’. The post indicated that Steez took his own life.
