The Rolling Stones Australian Date Officially Announced

The Rolling Stones have officially confirmed that they will perform in Adelaide, Australia in March.

The Adelaide show at Adelaide Oval on March 22, 2014 is first Australian show for The Stones since 2006 and their first Adelaide show since the Voodoo Lounge tour of 1994. It is also the first worldwide additional date added to the 50 and Counting tour which started with October 25, 2012 warm-up gig at the Le Trabendo in Paris.

Mick Jagger said: “It’s great to be invited to Adelaide to open the historic Oval…we’re really looking forward to doing this gig, it will be the first time we’ve been to Adelaide in nearly 20 years, so see you there!”

Keith Richards said: “Hi everyone down in Adelaide, it’s been a while since we were in your back yard… see you on March 22 when we’ll take over your new stadium and make it our own, look forward to it”.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday 25 November 2013 from 9am ACST.

On the 29 dates performed so far The Rolling Stones have performed 62 different songs. For the first time ever the 1980 hit ‘Emotional Rescue’ made in into a Stones setlist.
