Ousted Wiggle Sam Moran has dropped a positive message to fans on YouTube urging the kids to “keep on wiggling”.
Moran had been a salaried member of the group for the past 5 years following the departure of original member Greg Page.
Sam received his marching orders this week when Page decided to put his yellow skivvy back on and once again drive the big red car.
The story turned ugly yesterday when founding member Anthony Field stumbled and stuttered trying to explain the situation to Richard Wilkins on The Today Show.
Wilkins simply question about Sam was met with the response, ““What about Sam? Sam is … what do you mean?” by Field.
Field struggled to answer questions about Moran being a salaried employee and when asked how he took the news he said, “I haven’t spoken to him. I don’t know.”
The Wiggles were the second biggest entertainment earners in Australia’s BRW Rich List last year generating $28.2 million of income. Moran is reported to have been on a salary of $200,000 a year for the past 5 years.
