Portland alt-rockers Everclear are asking for Australian bands to pitch themselves as supports.

Art Alexakis and his Everclear brothers are touring Australia in October, and rather than get whichever supports are designated, they want to choose themselves.

So, if you think your band would be the perfect opener for Everclear in Coolangatta, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth, head over to the KillRockStar Entertainment Facebook page and hit ‘like’, then submit your band.

They’ll come up with a 15 act shortlist for each city, then open up the voting. Fans of your band can head over to the same Facebook page and vote for you, then the top three highest voted acts will be presented to Mr Alexakis and he’ll hand-pick his favourites.

Applications are open right now, and run until next Thursday 23 August. Public voting will run from Monday 27 August to Friday 7 September and then, within a week, the winners will be announced.

Good luck!
