For the past two days the WAM music conference and festival has focused the Australian music industry on Perth and today the city opens up for all music fans.
The City of Perth will display over 100 locals acts providing a soundtrack to the city for free for the public with the Saturday Spectacular.
From midday today, 12 venues in the arts district in inner city Northbridge will open their stages to local acts.
Live music can be heard today at PPC Amphitheatre, Northbridge Piazza, Urban Orchard, Wetlands, The Bird, Brass Monkey, Mustang Bar, Universal Bar, Flyrite, Beat Nightclub, The Bakery and Ya Ya’s.
The various venues will feature a cross-section of Western Australia’s musical styles with electronic and hip-hop on display at Urban Orchard with The Amani Consort starting the day at midday. Songwriters will showcase at Wetlands with local bubbling writers and Song of the year nominees all day long.
The Northbridge Piazza Stage will host the Craft Awards through the day with a live broadcast from RTRFM.
The WAM Festival Saturday Spectacular is a free for all all day today from midday until 11:45pm.
