Three 1960s members of The Masters Apprentices will reunite for a show in Melbourne in September.
Founders Mick Bower (guitarist /founder and principal composer) and Brian Vaughton (drums) as well as Rick Harrison (guitarist) who joined in 1967, will perform as The Masters Apprentices at the Corner Hotel in Richmond on 1 September.
This will be the first time Bower and Vaughton have performed together in 50 years. The pair played on the debut record ‘Undecided’ and the follow-up ‘Buried and Dead’ but Vaughton had departed for the third record “Living In A Childs Dream’.
Harrison was Bowers replacement but only stayed a few months.
The 2017 band will be rounded out with John Bywaters of The Twilights on bass, singer Craig Holden and Jim Keays Band guitarist Rob Pippan.
