Cezary Skubiszewski has scored a Screen Music Awards trifecta and David Hirschfelder has own the Feature Film Score of the Year.
The 2014 Screen Music Awards were held last night in Sydney.
Cezary Skubiszewski was nominated for six awards and won three including Best Music In A Documentary for ‘Once My Mother’ and Best Soundtrack Album for ‘The Broken Shore’.
His son Jan Skubiszewski also won an award for Best Music for a Television Series of Serial for ‘Serangoon Road (episode 6)’.
David Hirschfelder won the Feature Film Score of the Year and also received the Screen Music Award for his work on ‘The Railway Man’.
Custard’s frontman David McCormack with Antony Partos win Best Original Song Composed For Screen for ‘Don’t Let Go’ from Rake.
The 2014 Screen Music Awards were held at the City Recital Hall in Sydney and hosted by Rob Carlton.
They featured presenters Don Hany, Sophie Lowe, Leeanna Walsman, Danielle Cormack, Jessica Tovey, Jon Stevens, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Nigel Westlake and David Hirschfelder and performances by The Bamboos and Clairy Browne & the Bangin’ Rackettes.
Screen composer Ashley Irwin and his Orchestra provided the music of the evening.
