A Day On The Green Resurrects 1976 For First One of the Season

A Day On The Green will be hitting the playlists of 2SM, 3XY and 4IP for the first tour of the 2017-18 summer season. KC & The Sunshine Band will headline the Disco Fever tour.

The A Day On The Green bill also features The Village People, Sister Sledge and Marcia Hines.

Collectively this lot had more disco hits than the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack. In fact, KC & The Sunshine Band ‘Boogie Shoes’ was on Saturday Night Fever.

The Village People recently toured Australia. They also graced the big screen with their movie ‘Can’t Stop The Music’.

Debbie and Kim Sledge keep Sister Sledge rolling. They took off when Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards of Chic took over their production and created a catalogue of hits for the Sledge sisters based on Chic sounds.

Australia’s Marcia Hines rounds it off. With 10 Top 40 hits to her name, her set could easily just be the songs you know and still not play everything.
