Abba fans can look forward to a rare, previously unreleased piece coming in April.
‘From A Twinkling Star To A Passing Angel’ was a medley of demos recorded but not used on the final Abba album ‘The Visitors’ in 1981.
A remastered version of the album was released in 1997 and contained extra tracks but not this one.
The new Deluxe edition of The ‘Visitors’ is scheduled for April 23, 2012.
Abba recorded ‘The Visitors’ between March 16 and November 14, 1981 and released the album on November 30, 1981.
The album was the very first CD pressed at Polygram’s CD plant in Europe.
Since the original 1981 album release, ‘The Visitors’ has been reissued three times, first in 1997, then 2001 and again in 2005 as part of The Complete Studio Recordings.
For the record, Abba never officially broke-up but their last appearance together was on the British TV program ‘The Late, Late Breakfast Show’ on December 11, 1982. Throughout 1983 and 1984, Anna and Frida still talked about another Abba album but it never happened.
The four members have only been seen together twice since the British TV show, once in 1986 and again for the Mamma Mia movie premiere in Sweden in 2008.
