Members of AC/DC, The Angels, The Choirboys and Rose Tattoo formed a supergroup on the back of a flatbed truck in Sydney yesterday to send a message to the Commonwealth Bank. “Am I ever going to bank with the Commonwealth again/no way, get fucked, fuck off”.
The event was for Save Our Sando in support of the Sandringham Hotel. The pub in Sydney is facing foreclosure by the Commonwealth Bank after the bank bought troubled BankWest and started to close its business accounts even through the owners of the Sando have never missed a payment.
A senate enquiry is looking into the actions of the bank but not before businesses have already been butchered by the bank.
Former AC/DC bass player Mark Evans, joined Doc Neeson from The Angels, members of the Tatts and Choirboys to chant to iconic Angels anthem ‘Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again’, with a few words changed.
The message was clear – “Do not bank with The Commonwealth Bank if you support live music”.
