AC/DC To Talk About Malcolm Young On 7.30 Monday

Angus Young will talk about his brother Malcolm’s departure from AC/DC, the band they founded together over 40 years ago, on 7.30 on Monday night.

Angus said he noticed unusual behavioural changes in Malcolm before the guitarist was diagnosed with Dementia. “Malcolm was always very organized,” Angus said. “And it was kind of strange for the first time to see him disorganised, being confused about a lot of things. That’s when it kind of hit me – there’s something not right with him.”

AC/DC singer Brian Johnson said Malcolm was aware of what was happening and told the band to go on. “He said, keep making music. Without any of that sympathy stuff, you know? … So we did, and it was great,” Johnson said.

Malcolm Young now resides at a special care home in Sydney.

Angus and Brian will talk about Malcolm and the future of AC/DC on Monday night on 7.30, 7.30pm on the ABC.
