Ace Frehley has brought in artist Ken Kelly, who did the original art for the KISS albums Destroyer (1976) and Love Gun (1977) to create the cover for his new album Space Invader.
Frehley said of the collaboration “I’ve been talking with Ken Kelly since 2007 about painting a CD Cover for me and it has finally happened! I couldn’t be more excited about the new Space Invader cover and the music behind it is also going to rock your world!”
Space Invader is due July 8 via Entertainment One Music.
Kelley normally works in the world of fantasy with his work including such noteworthy characters as Tarzan and Conan the Barbarian. Among his cover art work is Rainbow’s Rainbow Rising, Manowar’s Kings of Metal and a number of works by Coheed and Cambria.
