Americana singer-songwriter Adam Zwar has revisited the studio with Grammy Awards winning producers David Bianco and Stuart Sikes for his next release ‘Stones, Bones and Skin’.
Bianco won a Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Non Classical for his work on Tom Petty’s ‘Wildflowers’ (1996). Bianco has also worked on albums for Bob Dylan (Together Through Life), Mick Jagger (Wandering Spirit) and Ozzy Osbourne (Ozzmosis).
Sikes picked up a Grammy gong in 2005 for his work on Loretta Lynn’s ‘Van Lear Rose’. Sikes also produced Cat Power’s ‘The Greatest’ That album won the 2006 Shortlist Music Prize.
Portland based Zwig has recruited a crack band for the ‘Stones, Bones and Skin’ EP. His band includes drummer Brian MacLeod (Madonna, Tears for Fears, “Tuesday Music Club” with Sheryl Crow) and bassist Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello, Elton John, Cracker),
In 2013 Adam Zwig released ‘Everybody Love’. The video has generated over 1.3 million YouTube views.

He says ‘Stones, Bones and Skin’ is all about the “roots of humanity”. “It’s about going back to the roots of humanity,” Zwig said. “Music probably started with a mother singing to her baby. After that, people began banging on stones and bones and crafting drums from skins. I wanted to get back to the genesis of music with this collection.”
‘Stones, Bones and Skin’ will be released in August.
