While no firm reason was given, the singer did post the following on his website:

Due to circumstances beyond the control of Adam Ant, his band and his representation, the release of Adam’s new album has been delayed resulting in the re-scheduling of his February USA tour dates to those listed below. All advance purchased tickets will remain valid.

Adam Ant and all those involved with the tour are disappointed with the delay and apologize to the many of you that have purchased tickets in advance, however he greatly looks forward to bringing an amazing show to you all on the revised dates as follows…

September 2012
13th – Los Angeles,CA, The Mayan Theatre
14th – Las Vegas,NV, Hard Rock on the Strip
15th – San Diego,CA, 4th & B
21st – Dallas,TX, Granada Theatre
27th – Tampa,FL, Hard Rock Seminole
28th – Miami,FL, Hard Rock Pavilion
29th – Orlando,FL, Hard Rock Live
October 2012
3rd – Norfolk,VA, NorVa
5th – Philadelphia,PA, Trocadero Theatre
6th – New York,NY, Best Buy Theatre
11th – Pontiac,MI, Crofoot
13th – Chicago,IL, Cubby Bear
14th – Milwaukee,WI, Turner Hall
18th – San Francisco,CA, Regency
19th – Ventura,CA, Ventura Theater
20th – Anaheim,CA, Grove of Anaheim (TBC)

The reason for the postponement of the tour is obvious but why the album was pushed back is the real question. It may have been a scheduling move by the record company or, and we hope this isn’t the case, it could be another bout with depression for which Adam has been treated a number of times in the last few years.
