‘The Go Show’ was Melbourne’s music show from 1964 to 1967 and was also broadcast in Adelaide in its final year.

The Go Show launched the careers of Olivia Newton-John and John Farrar. Farrar’s group at the time, The Strangers, were regulars on the show and performed original material. Farrar went on to write some of the biggest pop hits of all-time for Olivia including ‘You’re The One That I Want’, ‘Physical’, Have You Ever Been Mellow’ and ‘Hopelessly Devoted To You’.

‘Go Show Gold’ will feature Normie Rowe, Johnny Young, Ronnie Burns, Colleen Hewitt, Glenn Shorrock, Brian Cadd, Ronnie Charles, Dinah Lee, Ross D Wiley and Tony Worsley.

The show will also pay tribute to the late Ian Turpie and Daryl Cotton.

Go Show Gold will also play Melbourne.

Go Show Gold dates are:

August 8, Adelaide, Festival Theatre
August 10, Melbourne, Palais Theatre
