Adele has said that her new album will be influenced by American root country music.
The Sun in the UK reports that Adele got hooked on country and bluegrass when she was struck ill in the American South during a tour.
She said, “I was exposed to a lot of country, rockabilly and bluegrass because I was touring for such a long time.
“The melodies and to-the-point lyrics I have found in a lot of American styles of music is definitely something I’m going be pursuing heavily from now on. I want to spend some time in Austin in Texas and Nashville, Tennessee, and learn about it.”
“I feel like a four-year-old in a candy shop who’s discovering sweets again,” she continued, “Every day is amazing when it comes to discovering new artists.”
Adele will reportedly start recording her third album in a couple of months, once she finishes off the US dates that she had to postpone.
