Adele’s reign may be winding up, with heaps of new releases charging into this week’s ARIA chart.
Sydney indie rockers Boy And Bear burst into the album chart at number two with their debut Moonfire and Jay-Z and Kanye West muscle into number three with Watch The Throne.
Great to see a heap of other new releases making an impact this week after an album chart so long in stasis.
Metal act Trivium’s In Waves comes in at 9, the Glee movie cast soundtrack at 14, and Melbourne modern rockers Calling All Cars’ second album Dancing With A Dead Man at 20.
Then there’s Il Volo’s self-titled album at 23, Zoe Badwi’s debut at 35, and Dream On Dreamer’s Heartbound at 38.
Also, Daddy Cool’s re-release of Daddy Who? came in at 38.
The sensation that is Gotye and Kimbra’s ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ finally hits number one on the singles chart, with his old album still lurking at number 22.
Let’s see if Eskimo Joe can finish Adele off next week, since their last three albums debuted at number one.
