Adele has picked up the Academy Awards for Best Original Song for her theme from ‘Skyfall’.
‘Skyfall’ is the main song for the latest James Bond movie and the first new music from Adele since the release of her ‘21’ album.
Adele beat Walter Murphy and Seth MacFarlane for ‘Everybody Needs A Friend’ from ‘Ted’, ‘Pi’s Lullaby’ by Mychael Danna and Bombay Jayashri from ‘Life of Pi’, ‘Before My Time’ by J. Ralph from ‘Chasing Ice’ and ‘Suddenly’ by Claude-Michel Schonberg, Herbert Kretzmer and Alain Boublil from ‘Les Miserables’
Other music Oscars went to ‘Life Of Pi’ for Best Original Score and ‘Searching For The Sugar Man’ for Best Documentary Feature.
