Adele would ‘blow everything out of the water’ for her family, it has been claimed.
The 24-year-old star has enjoyed huge success with her career so far, winning a series of Grammy Awards as well as a Golden Globe and Oscar for her Skyfall track. Although Adele feels passionate about her music, she is happy to shun the limelight and her four-month-old son Angelo and partner Simon Konecki will always come first.
‘She puts her personal life before anything else – and good luck to her. Adele would blow everything out of the water for her family,’ a source told British newspaper The Sun. ‘But there’s a price to pay for keeping it real, because you have to go out of your way to guard your privacy, keep your friends close and not get dragged into the whole big circus.
She’s a one-off.’
Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney is a huge fan of the singer and has apparently been giving her advice.
Paul has reportedly been supporting Adele’s refusal to discuss her relationship or son in public. However, it has been claimed Adele’s partner Simon often finds it more difficult to remain silent about his love for the star.
‘He’s a very open guy so he has had to learn to be much more guarded when he talks because Adele can’t bear people knowing anything about them,’ the source added.
Adele is renowned for being down to earth and has won many admirers for her straight-talking attitude. The star’s aunt, Anita Adkins, has revealed Adele hasn’t changed since rising to fame.
‘She doesn’t get any special treatment – of course not. Why would she? There’s plenty of nieces, nephews and grandchildren in this family so no one gets any special treatment, I can tell you. They’re all treated the same,’ Anita explained. ‘Adele comes round and she’s still got to go and make her nan a cup of tea, I’m afraid.’
Anita also revealed her whole family burst into tears when Adele – real name Adele Laurie Blue Adkins – won her best song Oscar last month.
Over the weekend it was reported that James Bond bosses are eager for Adele to follow up her Skyfall success by working on a track for the next 007 instalment.
‘Producers are thrilled by how well the song has been received and hope Adele’s presence on the next film will replicate that success,’ a source revealed. ‘They want her to become as synonymous with Bond as Dame Shirley.’
