Adele’s fiancé Simon Konecki is reportedly making the star feel like a ‘single mum.’
The pair welcomed a son together in October 2012.
Adele and the infant have been in Los Angeles quite often during this year’s awards season.
Her song Skyfall for Daniel’s Craig eponymous James Bond movie has been a big hit, garnering her a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nod.
Apparently Simon has been in the UK throughout and the distance is becoming an issue.
‘Simon heads a clean water project charity called Drop4Drop, which he runs out of an office near West Sussex. He’s been saying he’s too busy with the charity to stay with Adele and their baby in L.A., but really a colleague could handle things just fine,’ a source told Star magazine.
‘You’d think being there with Adele and their child, to support his love at this crucial time, would be a no-brainer. She loves him dearly, but at the moment, Adele almost feels like a single mum.’
Adele is rumoured to be extremely upset about the family not being together.
The stress from this coupled with nerves about her upcoming performance at the Oscars later this month is proving to be too much.
It is said that she’s even taken up hypnotherapy sessions to allay her anxiety.
‘[Adele] can be worrisome and insecure to begin with,’ the insider continued.
‘The distance between her and Simon, and his seeming reluctance to join her and their son in the States, has really put her on edge. It’s almost as if he just can’t be bothered!’
