Cincinnati’s Afghan Whigs are getting back together for the first time in 12 years.

Afghan Whigs were around from 1986 but officially broke up in 2001 after the release of six critically acclaimed albums.

Lead singer Greg Dulli is curating the 2012 All Tomorrow’s Parties I’ll Be Your Mirror event in Asbury Park, New Jersey next September and will put the band back together for the event.

Before that, they will play at the London event in May, curated by Mogwai.

All Tomorrow’s Parties I’ll Be Your Mirror London event will also feature Slayer performing the Reign In Blood album, Mogwai, The Dirty Three, Melvins, Mudhoney, Yuck, Sleep and Codeine.

Other acts for the US event are yet to be announced.

All Tomorrow’s Parties is on:
