The AFL Grand Final in Melbourne has yet again turned its back on Australian talent instead opting for the safer, vanilla sounds of Bryan Adams, Ellie Goulding and Chris Isaak.
After the embarrassment of Meat Loaf and the blandness of Lionel Richie the AFL has ignored the countries major talent with acts like Tame Impala, British India, The Rubens, Gurrumul, The Waifs and Dead Letter Circus all delivering their best new music this year while heritage names like Icehouse and Cold Chisel also continue to dominate chart positions in 2015.
The inoffensive adult contemporary sounds of Adams, Goulding and Isaak will gently provide their singalong sounds for the crowd pre-game and then kick back for an encore performance after the match.
The AFL Grand Final will take place on October 3, 2015 on the hallowed grounds of the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
