The honourable Anthony Albanese MP (aka DJ Albo) has agreed to be an ambassador for Record Store Day Australia.
Albo, the Federal Member for Grayndler and a former Australian deputy Prime Minister, is a great supporter of Australian music artists. When he isn’t suited up for Parliament House, Albo is more likely to be found at a Spiderbait, Nick Cave and The Pixies gig.
Albo has also fundraised for the Labor Party and charities as DJ Albo, playing very tasteful tunes from New Order, The Wombats, The Hummingbirds and Bowie.
In Anthony Albanese’s private collection you will still find his very first purchase ‘Honky Chateau’ by Elton John and his former workmates Peter Garrett’s Midnight Oil rarity ‘Bird Noises’.
DJ Albo joins equally illustrious Australian artists Mark Gable (The Choirboys), Robert Forster (The Go Betweens). A.B.Original (Trails and Briggs), Catherine Britt, popular Instagrammer Steve Kouta and man about music Tim Dalton.
