Two music legends Alice Cooper and Duane Eddy met for the very first time on Friday at NAMM.
The 73-year old Eddy and the 63-year Cooper chatted after being introduced while Alice was at the Fender Booth at NAMM.
Alice was an NAMM as a guest of Fender and Shure Microphones. He was signing autographs at the Fender Booth when the guitar legend came up and introduced himself. It was the first time they had met even though booth are from Phoenix.
The Grammy Award winning Eddy kicked off his career in the late 50s and was one of the founders of the twang sound. His hits included ‘Rebel Rouser’, ‘Peter Gunn Theme’ and ‘Because They’re Young’.
The Fender Booth was flat chat during NAMM with appearances from Jim Root of Slipknot/Stone Sour, Neon Trees bass player Branden Campbell, Rancid’s Tim Armstrong, Rome Ramirez of Sublime, Guns n Roses’ Duff McKagan, John Mayer and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.
