The Alice Cooper version of ‘Eleanor Rigby’ is available now for you to hear.

Alice Cooper recorded the 1966 Paul McCartney Beatles’ song for ‘The Art of McCartney’, a Paul McCartney tribute project coming in November.

Alice was a huge British rock fan and it all began with The Beatles. “Early on in our career, when I was 15, that’s when The Beatles came out,” Alice tells Noise11.com. “We were the perfect audience for the British Invasion. We were sitting there and all of a sudden here’s The Beatles. Wow. And then there’s The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Yardbirds, The Who. Every week there was five new bands that we had never heard of and they were all good.”

‘The Art of McCartney’ will feature 42 new studio recordings from artists like Alice, Bob Dylan, Billy Joel, Brian Wilson, Barry Gibb and The Cure.
