Alternative hip-hoppers Atmosphere will bring a full live band, and Dilated Peoples’ Evidence, to Australia.
The Minnesota duo, featuring rapper Slug and DJ/producer Ant, have built up a huge cult following with their inventive beats and witty, emotional lyricism. Over the years they’ve collaborated with fellow travelers Brother Ali, KRS-One, Jean Grae, El-P, DOOM and more.
They’ll be touring Australia in May for the first time since 2009, and bringing a full live band to realise their tunes.
Also along for the ride is Evidence, from underground hip-hop pioneers Dilated Peoples. Evidence has emceed and produced for that legendary crew, as well as worked on music with Kanye West, Beastie Boys, and Linkin Park.
Tickets go on sale from MoshTix and Oztix next Monday 19 March.
