2010 Australian X Factor winner Altiyan Childs has pleaded guilty after being charged with driving under the influence of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Childs admitted to using cannabis and crystal meth at a party the night before driving 10 hours to Taree. He was pulled over at Coolongolook, NSW on the Pacific Highway just south of Taree on November 7.
Childs was automatically disqualified from driving for 12 months but the judge reduced the sentence to 6 months with a $600 fine and $81 costs because he had a limited criminal history.
He had previously been arrested on a mild drink driving charge in 2008.
