The Amanda Palmer & The Grand Theft Orchestra Australia and New Zealand tour, due to start next month, has been postponed.

Amanda has put the tour on hold to stay in Boston with her best mate Anthony who is suffering from cancer. Anthony is in a serious stage of the disease and Amanda cannot be certain of the outcome at the time of the tour.
In a statement on her blog, Amanda wrote, “this is really, really hard for me to tell you. i feel like i’m letting a lot of people down. if you know me, you’ll know that in 13 years of touring, i’ve almost never canceled a single engagement. it’s not my style. i take my professional commitments really seriously. even if i’m sick, i play. but i also take my friendships really seriously. this situation calls for no other solution. my best friend is really sick and his future is uncertain. so i am going to stay with him while he goes through this”.
Frontier Touring expected to reschedule the tour for September/October 2013.
Tickets already purchased will be valid for the shows later in the year or you may seek a refund from your ticketing agency.
