Amy Shark ‘Adore’ Wins Vanda and Young Songwriting Contest

Amy Shark has won the Vanda and Young Songwriting Contest for 2018 with her song ‘Adore’.

The Vanda and Young Songwriting Contest is held every two years. Previous winners were Megan Washington (2009), Kimbra (2011), The Preatures (2013), Husky Gawenda (2014) and Gretta Ray(2016).

The contest raises funds for not-for-profit organisation Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia (NRMTA).

As the 2018 winner Amy will receive a cash prize of A$50,000 and a A$5,000 Show Group travel package.

In a statement Amy said “Proud to announce I’ve won the 2018 Vanda & Young Song Comp for Adore! Thank you so much to @APRAAMCOS and to every one of you who have supported this song since it’s release in July 2016! “
