The Anathema tour has been making its way across Australia with the final two shows for Melbourne and Perth this weekend.
The Anathema tour kicked off in New Zealand a week ago with the British Prog Rock band including a few songs from their influences Pink Floyd and Portishead.
At the Auckland show on October 24 Anathema performed two Floyd tracks ‘High Hopes’ and ‘Another Brick In The Wall’. Portishead were given a nod with ‘Glory Box’.
Clearly the members of Anathema are infatuated with music from 1994. ‘Glory Box’ was the closing track from Portishead’s debut album ‘Dummy’ in 1994. ‘High Hopes’ closed the Floyd’s 1994 album ‘The Division Bell’.
