Australia’s Peter Andre is hoping to come down your chimney this Christmas with a brand new Chrissie tune.
Andre will release his new single ‘Christmas Time’s For Family’ in the UK on December 9. The album ‘White Christmas’ will be released exclusively in CD in UK supermarket chain Iceland.
‘White Christmas’ will be the second album for the British based Andre this year. In May he released his swing album ‘Big Night.’ The song ‘Kid’ from the album was included in the soundtrack for Dreamworks ‘Mr Peabody & Sherman’.
Christmas Time’s For Family will be released in the UK on December 9. The single and album are not scheduled for release in Australia.
Ian ‘Molly’ Meldrum discovered Peter after seeing him perform on Hey Hey It’s Saturday’s New Faces. He signed the unknown singer to his Melodian record label.
The first single ‘Drive Me Crazy’ failed to make the Australian chart, but the second single, a cover of the 1967 Brenton Wood hit ‘Gimme Little Sign’, climbed to no 3 on the ARIA chart in 1992.
Peter had a run of hits in Australia in the early 90s. ‘Funky Junky’ in 1993 peaked at no 13 then ‘Let’s Get It On’, ‘Mysterious Girl’ and ‘Get Down On It’ continued to generate Top 40 hits for Peter.
