Andrew Stockdale’s next Wolfmother song ‘Chase The Feeling’ features a guest appearance from Chris Cester of Jet on vocals.
Andrew and Chris have already previewed the song live. Check out this footage from West Hollywood’s The Roxy from May.
The combination of Stockdale and Cester is an interesting one. Both their bands Wolfmother and Jet rose at around the same time influenced by 60s and 70s UK rock, Wolfmother by Black Sabbath and Deep Purple and Jet by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones (with a homegrown dose of AC/DC thrown in).
Stockdale began recording a fifth Wolfmother album at Dave Grohl’s studio 606 in California in April. His previous Wolfmother album was ‘Victorious’ in 2016.
Andrew Stockdale has released four Wolfmother albums starting with ‘Wolfmother’ (2005) as a band, then ‘Cosmic Egg’ (2009), ‘New Crown’ (2014) and ‘Victorious’ (2016) as his own projects.
Andrew has also released two albums under his own name ‘Keep Moving’ (2013) and ‘Slipstream’ (2018).
Meanwhile in Chris Cester news, Chris was AWOL from the recent Jet shows with Jimmy Barnes after falling and damaging his shoulder. Jet were forced to cancel two of the Jimmy shows but resurrected for Melbourne with their tour manager on drums.
