Melbourne is starting to fight back at multinational corporation Apple after it was announced the company has been granted permission to build an Apple Store monstrosity in the heart of the city.
Signs have popped up all over Melbourne protesting the move including in AC/DC Lane.
Cherry Bar grand poobah James Young snapped a pic of the poster in the laneway outside the bar.
News of the eye-soar in Melbourne’s Federation Square, near AC/DC lane, was revealed by the Victorian Government in December 2017.
The ugly building would take centre-stage in the middle of Melbourne’s most central public space.
Former media personality, now Australian senator Derryn Hinch said of the decision by the Andrews’ Labor Government, “Andrews cannot let a rotten Apple destroy it”.
Petitions to stop the construction of the building have generated over 100,000 signatures.
