Although the official nominations for the ARIA Awards won’t be announced until the Nominations Event on October 15th, ARIA have today announced the nominations for the Fine Arts and Artisan Awards.
These awards celebrate the more high-art musical genres as well as acknowledging those who work behind the scenes such as Producers and Engineers.
The categories for the awards include Best Jazz Album, Best Classical Album, Best World Music Album, Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show Album, Engineer Of The Year, Best Cover Art and Producer of the year.
“Congratulations to all of this year’s nominees in the Fine Arts and Artisan Awards. ARIA is delighted to recognise and celebrate the diverse and talented Australian musicians and artisans in all seven categories,” said ARIA Chairman Denis Handlin.
“These accomplished artists and technicians continue to push the boundaries and we are proud to have them represent the Australian music industry both here and around the world,” added ARIA CEO Dan Rosen.
