Robin Thicke, T.I. and Pharrell are set to battle Avicii and Aloe Blacc for the top of the Australian charts this week.

Avicii could climb to No.1 with his new track “Wake Me Up”, the song blasting into the No.2 spot last week, and Robin is contending for his ninth consecutive week at the top, plus to become the equal second longest No.1 this decade.

Also blasting up the charts and into the Top 10 this week are OneRepublic with “Counting Stars”, Miley Cyrus and “We Can’t Stop” and Pink with Lily Allen on “True Love”, thanks to her current multi-month national tour here. Timomatic, Jessie J, Olly Murs and Imagine Dragons all look set to remain within the Top 10 too this week.

Samantha Jade released her new single “Firestarter” last Friday, and it looks set for a Top 20 or higher debut this week, and with the finale of ‘Packed to the Rafters’ on Tuesday night, the songs featured in the last EVER episode look set to return to the charts this week, including “I Won’t Give Up” for Jason Mraz (Top 20), “River Flows in You” by Yiruma (Top 40) and lower down “I’m Yours” for Jason Mraz and “Love for Sale” by McFly. Also screening on Tuesday night was another Agnetha/Abba special, which could re-launch her “A” album as the tracks “When You Really Loved Someone”, “I Should’ve Followed You Home” and “The One Who Loves you Now” could all potentially enter the Top 100 this week.

Also there’s new stuff expected to enter for MKTO and “Classic”, The Collective with “Another Life”, “Middle Ground” by Mark Wilkinson, “Act Your Age” and “I Am Somebody” by Bliss N’ Eso from their new album, “Tunnel Vision” for Justin Timberlake and maybe a return for Abba’s “The Winner Takes it All” too.

ALBUMS:
That ABBA Special on Tuesday night could potentially take Agnetha Faltskog back to her original #3 entry position from May with her album “A”, or possibly even higher, but she is facing competition from local act Bliss N’ Eso with their fifth album “Circus in the Sky” and from The Voice Season 2 winner Harrison Craig as he now has had a full weeks worth of sales for “More Than a Dream”.

Pink could climb higher than last weeks No.7 with “The Truth about Love” and Hillsong Live look set for a further Top 10 entry with their latest release “Glorious Ruins”. Plus maybe a Top 20 or higher return for “18 Hits” or “Abba Gold” for ABBA this week too. We could also see new entries by Relient K with “Collapsible Lung”, Big Scary and “Not Art” and “Gargantua” for Ash Grunwald and Scott Owen.

Double J was a Sydney only radio station when it first went to air at 11am on 19 January 1975. The first song played was Skyhooks ‘You Just Like Me ‘Cos I’m Good In Bed’ chosen because it was Australian, it was rebellious (because the song was banned at the time which reflected the rebellious image of the station) and being part of the ABC was not subject to the licencing laws of the commercial radio stations.
