Augie March have revealed a video for their new song ‘Bootikins’ days before Christmas.
‘Bootikins’ is the title track from the sixth Augie March album to be released in February.
According to Augie March, the video was “made with various generations of iPhone and iPad, to a couple of ancient pc webcams, all gaffa taped around the Sound Park studio room where much of the album.”
Augie March formed in Shepparton in 1996. Their first album ‘Sunset Studies’ reached no 35 on the Australian charts. They achieved their first Top 10 album in 2006 with ‘Moo, You Bloody Choir’. 2008’s ‘Watch Me Disappear’ peaked at number 4 after which the band went into hiatus.
After five years apart Augie March reformed in 2014 and released a fifth album ‘Havens Dumb’.
The 2017 band features the original line-up of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Glenn Richards, lead guitarist Adam Donovan, bassist Edmondo Ammendola, drummer David Williams. The band’s second keyboard player Keiran Box replaced original member Rob Dawson who died in a car crash in 2001. Keiran has played on all albums except the debut.
