The Australian College of the Arts (Collarts) has added three new degree programs specialising in the music industry.
This year students can enrol for:
A Bachelor Of Arts (Music) Contemporary Music Performance
A Bachelor of Arts (Audio Production)
A Bachelor of Arts (Creative Industries Management) Music Business.
Dean of Collarts Dr. Raffaele Marcellino said, “These new degree courses combine foundation, professional and elective subjects, and can be completed in a minimum of two years (six semesters). The degrees are designed to develop a student’s musical, technical and creative skills, and gives them a unique understanding of the music and entertainment industry in which to make a sustainable career”.
“Students will be surrounded by other aspiring professionals wanting to get into the industry and have the opportunity for practicing and refining skills, and the use of Collarts’ on-campus production facilities to gain valuable experience. Degree courses all include an Industry Internship, providing valuable access and insight to the industry.”
