The unnamed 82-year old British based Australian entertainer who was arrested in child sex offences on Thursday has gone into hiding.
The man who lives at The Fisherys, Berkshire is not staying at his house since being released on bail. He will appear in court in May.
The high-profile Australian was arrested in relation to Operation Yewtree, the investigation initiated from the allegations against British TV star Jimmy Savile, who died before being charged.
Operation Yewtree is investigating the abuse of hundreds of children and adults by a group of entertainers over a 50-year period. The operation has recorded 214 criminal offences so far including rape involving children as young as 9-years old.
The arrests so far include pop star Gary Glitter and comedians Jim Davidson and Freddie Starr.
The 82-year old Australia is not being named for legal reasons.
