Australian TV music director legend Geoff Harvey has died at the age of 83 in Berrima, NSW.
Harvey was a constant fixture on Australian television with his daily appearance on The Mike Walsh Show and Midday.

Geoff Harvey was born in London in 1935. He moved to Australia in the early 1960s and joined EMI Records as a producer. Geoff joined Channel Nine Sydney in 1961 and became musical director for Bob Rogers’ Tonight Show. He then worked on Tonight with Dave Allen, the John Laws Show, Barry Crocker’s Sound of Music, Bandstand and The Don Lane Show before joining The Mike Walsh Show.

Harvey composed the theme music for A Current Affair, Today, Sunday and The Sullivans.
Geoff was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia in 2006.
Geoff Harvey was married to television personality Penny Spence. He lived in Berrima with his second wife of 32 years Katrina.
