Avenged Sevenfold are fighting to land their first ever UK #1 with their new album ‘Hail To The King’ which was released this week.
In Australia, the album landed at number two this week behind John Mayer’s ‘Paradise Valley’, although Mayer failed to top the US chart, beaten by Luke Bryan.
As the announcement of this week’s album charts reaches its conclusion, the band are currently just over 3000 copies ahead of their nearest challenger, Naughty Boy.
Boosted by some of their most positive reviews to date, Avenged Sevenfold could well become one of the few metal bands to hit the top of the charts. Their previously highest charting album, 2010’s ‘Nightmare’ reached #5. The band recently participated in a Q&A session to discuss the new album which can be seen below.
